1. Charles Darwin opened a “Pandora’s Box” of social evils
When Charles Darwin published his “Origin of Species” in 1859, he opened a “Pandora’s Box” of social evils – evolutionism, humanism, atheism, materialism, pornography, hedonism, moral anarchy, etc, etc – which have infected society with a raging plague which defies control. Darwinism is based on a lie of Satan, arch enemy of God, and only the truth of God ministered by the Holy Spirit in the obedient heart can counteract and defeat this deadly philosophy of the Devil.
The conflict is God’s Word versus the Lie of Evolutionism. The need of the hour is for every Bible-believing Christian to hold fast to the Word, to be fully conversant with the Genesis account (that “In the beginning God created ..”) and to be “ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear” (1 Pet 3:15 ). Are you a Bible-believing Christian? If so, the call is for you! Stand up and speak out for God!
2. Dr Carl Wieland writes …
Who is Dr Carl Wieland? He is a medical doctor, called to the ministry of “Creationism” according to the Genesis account. He founded the “Creation Science Ministry” some thirty years ago in Australia. Today its outreach spans the globe, and is known as “Creation Ministries International” (AIG-Answers in Genesis – is the name of its American offshoot).
In anticipation of the evolutionists celebrating Darwin’s 200th Centenary (Charles Darwin 1809 – 1882), Creation Ministries International is producing a documentary film, “holding forth the word of life” against the deception of evolutionism. This historical and global witness of Bible truth will be launched, probably early in 2009, in English and Mandarin. Dr Carl Wieland’s letter is reprinted here.

The Darwin Film – the run home
I am delighted to be able to let you know that God has really blessed the appeal for the exciting Darwin Film Project (DFP), which has been a global effort among all the CMI countries. So much so that, although only launched in January this year, it is ‘within strike’ of being finalized. We praise God that the rate at which funds have come in has exceeded all expectations – when this letter was prepared, the total stood at US$502,317.
We are very excited about this ambitious, but hugely important, project, set for release in 2009, the year that atheists and humanists are already salivating about in anticipation of the bicentennial of their ‘hero.’ (Charles Darwin was born in 1809).
As explained before, we are deliberately making this in such a way as to maximize the chances of secular channels broadcasting it. That way, millions of unbelievers will get to see it. And hopefully, it will seriously challenge the unquestioning acceptance of Darwinism that dominates our culture and works so strongly against the effects of the gospel.
To that end, the film has to take a somewhat different approach than if we were making it for a Christian audience; overt ‘religious’ proselytizing would provide an excuse for it never to be shown on secular TV.
The final product needs to be in a framework which, while seriously undermining and challenging Darwinian ideas, will also appeal to someone attempting to objectively weigh the facts and arguments. Of course, it will still be immensely helpful as a subsequent DVD for Christians, who will be able to use it as a ‘conversation-starter’, an icebreaker, a pre-evangelistic tool and more. We need to, as God gives the strength, seek to tear down the stronghold of the Darwinian doctrine (2 Corinthians 10:5 ) that pretentiously exalts itself against God’s account of history in the Bible – and thus against the gospel itself. A powerful documentary like this will be quite unique in the Christian arsenal – and it can be used as the first of a ‘one-two punch’ in seeing people brought into the Kingdom.
Good news re its future reach into China
For example, we are really excited to be able to have an arrangement in place for the final footage to be burned onto a disc that also contains the Jesus film, both in Chinese. This ‘combination’ DVD will then be mass-reproduced (royalty-free – CMI will make no money on this) onto hundreds of thousands of discs, to be taken into mainland China for give-away. (And it will doubtless be copied many times over after that, giving it a reach of millions there alone). There are also people from many other language groups who are in touch with us about having a version available in their language, either dubbed or with subtitles. We’ve never seen such a hunger for any product before it was released! – Carl Wieland, Managing Director.
