The Bible teaches us that all have sinned and come short of the glory of God. In the eyes of God, there is no difference between a Jew and a Gentile as far the state of the sinner is concerned. We are all in the same boat to Hell. A sin is a sin no matter what name we call it. A sin is a sin no matter what kind or how many sins we may commit. The end is the same for all, condemnation and awaiting the judgement of God after we die.
Since we are all in the same state of sin and condemnation, we also need the same Saviour to get us out of this condemned state. This Saviour is Jesus Christ our Lord whom God sent into this world to die for all our sins including the sin of homosexuality. God accepted what His only begotten Son did for us by raising Him from the dead on the third day after he died and was buried. This common oneness of salvation for all was seen in the Old Testament as well. Numbers 15:15 “One ordinance shall be both for you of the congregation, and also for the stranger that sojourneth with you, an ordinance for ever in your generations: as ye are, so shall the stranger be before the LORD.” This is affirmed in the New Testament by Christ Himself when the Bible said in John 14:6 , “Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.” And also 1 Timothy 2:5 , “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus.”
This means that all homosexuals can be saved to the uttermost like any other sinner. The sin of homosexuality is not a sin that the blood of Christ cannot pardon. Christ’s blood is of infinite value and there is no sin under heaven that His priceless and precious blood cannot cleanse. If the homosexual repents of his sin of homosexuality and turns from his life of homosexuality which is an abomination and wickedness in the eyes of God, he will be saved. This is God’s promise to every one without prejudice, to all who would believe. Romans 10:9-13 states very clearly unequivocally, “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
But there are some who teach that since homosexuality is a genetic disorder (like a person who is born left- handed), a person can be Christian and still remain a homosexual. They claim that this is what modern science tells us. But this is not what the Bible says. In 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 , “Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God' Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of God.” The phrase “abusers of themselves with mankind” refers to sodomites or homosexuals. They will have no part in the kingdom of God. The sin of homosexuality belongs to the old and unregenerate man as Romans 1:24-27 reveals, “Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen. For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature: And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.”
There are others who teach that the sinner can be a Christian and remain a homosexual in his mind and heart since the Bible only condemns the act of homosexuality and not the thought. This is deception. This kind of pharisaical argument which tries to separate the act from the thought is double talk and cannot be of God. It is like telling someone that it is wrong to commit the act of adultery but it is all right to commit it in the mind and heart. But the Bible says otherwise in Matthew 5:28 , “But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.”
If homosexuals would repent of all their sins including the sin of homosexuality, believe in and receive the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour, they would be saved like everyone else. To tell them something other than that is to lie to them and condemn them to Hell and finally the Lake of Fire which burns forever.
